Here we have two screen shots, one taken from My groups film opening 'Parralell Lives' and the other from 'Step Up' a dance production film by Anne Fletcher brought to our screens in 2006. I have chosen Channing's role to compare with my own because I think there are different similarities and differences between the two characters. Both have fictionally been brought up in the rough areas of where they live and both have an avid interest in street/urban dance. The difference between the characters is that channing in 'Step Up' is respected for his dancing whereas I get beaten up for dancing. We chose to do this in our opening because we thought that it refelcted well on todays youth society and how it seems almost unacceptable for a males to dancers.
